460 carb on edelbrock

i have a brand new untouched carb that was manufactured for the 460 in 1977. I was wondering would this carb work on an edelbrock intake on a 400. It looks like a spreadbore. and does anyone know the cfm of these things.

Is it the 4350 Motorcrfat 4bbl? I'm thinking its around a 600 CFM unit.

Don't know about it working on your intake though. If it will bolt on, just set it on the intake and see if the throttle will open without any problems. Then make sure the secondaries will open without interference.

If your going to mate a spreadbore carb to a square pattern intake, you'll need an adapter. Those intakes come in both so check which one you have before you mount your carb.
