Lengthened drivelines

Lengthened drivelines
I was looking at Jeff's Bronco Graveyard and they say that with the 6" lift kits for a 96 Bronco that you will need to have the driveline lengthened. Up until now, I have always heard that you don't have to have it done for 6" lifts. What is the average cost of having this done?

my 7.5" Fabtech kit came with rear block that were slanted and actually moved and twisted my rear axle to have an upward slant. This repositioning allowed me to use my existing drive shaft. Check out Fabtech's lift kits. They really make a nice kit and advertise that you can go 7.5" without changing your drive shaft. I think the site it www.fabtechperformance.com
If you still need to get a new longer drive shaft, you can get them custom made to any length and installed for under 500 bucks. I had mine done a few months ago. Not longer, but fatter and aluminum. I put a custom 5" aluminum shaft on my truck because initially I was racing my truck 1/4 mile. Plus I wanted the extra strength. I paid less then 500 bucks for everything.
