I've long since given up on old rusty bolts. A cutoff wheel always makes quicker work on stubborn steel.

Here, I've started some of the frame undercoating.

I dunno why, but I've always been happier working on projects if I jump around a bit.

This pic shows where the old frame tails (both sides, same point) will be removed, and replaced with new sections. The red line is the cut line, 18" measured from the the rear going forward. This is about an inch before the frame starts to take on bends and tapers, so it's an easy point to work with.

Well, that's all for today. Tomorrow I'll pick up the replacement steel, and get down to some real destruc...
err.... re-construction...

well, you know what I mean.
