Kenne Bell Tech Tip Quote.
"Contrary to what the ads say, there is no HP in the exhaust, inlet or headers for the Ford V10. Kenne Bell says, they never saw a set of headers that didn't hurt low end torque. Ford Engineers just didn't leave any HP in the inlet or exhaust systems. And never count on their supercharger to get back the torque the headers lose. With the Kenne Bell Supercharger, the V10 easily out pulls the diesels."
Interesting situation one company says if you spend $2300 putting on their heads and exhast systems you can get up to 60hp, the other company says that is a bunch of BS.
What is the best choice?
A person can't afford everything.

Kenne Bell is shooting them theselves in the the foot. A supercharger is doing nothing but increaseing the air in the combustion chamber. By increasing the air flow you are doing the same thing without mechanical advantage. As a super charger is engine driven it's imeadiate. Why would a company like porsche and others develop variable valve timing. The more clean air you get into the cylinder the better the combustion and the beter the fuel mileage. This is the reason turbos get beter fuel milage than super chargers but their low end tourqe is not as good as a belt feed device. if you increase the flow through the engine aka intake and exhuast you will see an increase in performace and horsepower.

The supercharger and turbocharger are designed to increase air flow and remove stress on engine, however the supercharger uses power from the crank to turn the turbines, which is causing engine stress(go figure) turbochargers are using all ready wasted energy from the exuast, to create power to rotate the turbines, to create a forcefull amount of air into the cylinders, which is relieving stress, which makes for a great use of otherwise wasted energy. there are some great companies out there doing some great things with turbochargers, that are really making it a great product, such as adjustable fins that open and close at all levels of rpm, to create a regulated flow or boost.... however you pay a heavy price to own these toys.
