rear axle help?
Looken at a '79 F250 Supercab LB 460/C6 and I would like to know with out getting wet if it has a limited slip. Rear axle code 37 J. I show 3.54 gears. With a 460 one may need it to turn a cornor with out burning a tire. Thanks

Im sure you have an open diff, but in any case, there is a bunch of number cast or stamped into the housing on the dana 60 cover, it will start D603L54 or something like that if its a limited slip.
37 does not code for limited slip, so I highly doubt it, unless someone has put a locker in there or made a lincoln locker out of it. <--- hopefully not.
