Where the heck is it ?!?

This year our Montana winter has dropped temperatures well below zero several times and the forecast for the coming week promises more of the same. I had the VIN run for options and my previously owned '99 F150 with a 4.6L is supposed to have an engine block heater. Much to my disdain I cannot find the plug. Can anyone give me a clue where to start?

Thanks in advance

Found mine tucked away secretly behind the grill, in front of the radiator, laying tye wrapped to the radiator support, on the drivers side. It is a black pig tail that I eventually pulled out of it's confines about a foot long. My truck was a 95, but maybe that will give you a starting place. Hope you find it!

My 85 E150 had a factory installed block heater, and the wiring was tucked up behind the plastic wireway at the rear of the hood opening.

they get hidden alot, the easiest way is to get under your truck , find the heater it self, usually installed in a freeze plug , and follow the cord . some times they come loose from thier attachment and get stuck wherever they will go,good luck, bob
