Oldman, if you will do the profile thing for me and send another eMail I will resend to you. Please include the eMail address you want me to use in your letter. Sorry it didn't get there the first time.
Hi believer45
I tried that and can not, as I am a newbie here and not allowed
untill I'm over 30 days and after 20 + posts. (for what ever reason) Can you get my e-mail address in my profile? oldman
Thanks believer45, I did a search on the site and found enough info to paste together, I am still waiting on IH to get me 2 more plugs, did the right (5-8?) bank this morning, pretty easy job. Looks like the left will be a little tougher to get the cover off. Also has anyone had any problems with the filter minder. Mine was at jsut under 50% and the filter looked down right horrible! Tons of dirt, there was even a good half dozen Bees in there as well.
To believer45;
I would like the information that you offer about the glowplug system. I'm new here so, I to, can't e-mail you. I have a 97 F-350 and am experencing many of the same problems as others here. If you could help me, it would be much appreciated. Thank you. Bob

Mike, you are welcome. When I did mine the passenger side valve cover was much harder to get off but then I have an open element air filter (homebuilt) that comes off by loosening one clamp.
In my experience the filter minders are pretty much a do-dad without much use. I supervise in a maintenance shop for a large trucking company and if we wait until the specified restriction the filters would collapse on themselves due to restriction. I would (and do) change mine when it looks like it needs it. When I had the filter minder I never did let it get very high.
Dave/Believer45 - if you don't mind, would you please send me the word document as well? I'm a newbie, so I can't get to your email.
I've blown the number 22 fuse on my 97 F350 and can't seem to track down what's grounding the relay or plugs. Any thoughts?

The only way for me to send to you is for you to make the eMail through this site active so I can send you an eMail. You will need to reply with the eMail address you want me to send it to and what information you want. I will reply to that eMail with the attachments. This site does not let eMail addresses be seen or posted in the threads so this is the only way for me to get the information to you. I cannot send an attachment through the site.

The #22 fuse controls power to the fuel heater in the bottom of the fuel filter bowl. If it is blown it will also disable the ECM so you will not be able to start it. Fuel heater shorting out is a common breakdown, not a big deal to fix. You don't say what year truck you have but there should be a plug on the side of the fuel filter bowl low, probably driver side, that powers the fuel heater. Unplug it and replace your #22 fuse and you should be good to go.
Boothra, another thing that would help is if you will click on SETTINGS just below the header, click on EDIT PROFILE then scroll down to the signature window you can put one in like mine below that will tell us what you have and make it easier to offer help.
Dave/Believer45, I made active my email address. I've also included the signature listing specifics on my rig. Thanks for the tip on the fuel heater in the fuel bowl. I'll disconnect to see if that stops the number 22 from blowing. I've checked continuity on the relay and it looked good, so I'm assuming the the plugs and relay are fine.
