Question block bolt pattern question

okay a buddy asked me the other day if the flathead had the same block to clutch housing bolt pattern as the Y and FE. I told him I wasnt old enough #1 to know this and I have never seen a flathead close enough to know. I said I would ask. is it the same?

I don't have a Y block or FE to compare, but I've been told the flathead is unique and won't match the others.

I'm pulling the 239 flathead out of the 54 and installing a 292 from a 61 I've been told it's a straight bolt in, I'll find out next spring for sure. Apparently the US made 54's had some OHV Y blocks installed but the Canadian built still used the 239 flatheads model Q & model QHS show in the 53 parts manual as having the Y block.

the 292 will fit if you have the complete motor including bellhousing.all 54 fords in the u.s. were overhead.all in canada up to at least 3 ton were flathead.i was told this happened because ford in the u.s.had a mountain of flatheads left over and basicly dumped them on ford of canada.
