Going to the RV show? Northern Virginia, 1/16-1/18

My family and I always go to RV shows in the DC area. The show out at the Dulles Expo Center is always a good one, and we always see lots of Fords there. Last year they raffled off an Excursion. We spent most of our time climbing in and out of high-end RVs and travel trailers.

My brother, his wife, and I went to the RV show last winter at Bartle Hall in Kansas City, Mo. Later, he purchased a 37' 1995 Fleetwood Bounder with the 5.9 liter Cummins diesel in it. He sold the unit 2 months ago, but we're looking forward to going to the show again this year!!

I've never been to one of the shows, but it sounds like fun. How much are tickets? I went to the link and printed out a "coupon" but it is only for one dollar off of one ticket (can't print multiple coupons). Is there any other way to get discounted tickets?

I'm going by memory since I can't find the price on the website -- I think it was $8 for an adult ticket, $6 for child, although the adult ticket might have been more. Not too bad. Not as expensive as some boat shows I've been to.

I just went to the motorcycle show at the Washington Convention Center last weekend. Lots of fun. Cost for an adult to get in was $12.00! I tried to tell the ticket lady that I was only five years old, but even with my wife promising her that after I saw all those bikes, I truly WOULD be five years old, she still charged me the adult rate
I will probably skip the RV show because even if I sold my house, cars, liver, kidney, first born, etc. - I STILL wouldn't be able to afford the one unit I like!!! I prefer not to be depressed by seeing all those neat toys I could never attain. A friend just bought a Winnie built on a Kenworth chassis, powered by a 350 Cummins.... Power everything! I would love to take many a trip in a unit like that!
I'll probably skip the RV show and trek back up to the Washington Convention Center for the World of Wheels car show....
