Question Is there anyone in NW MN

Just curious to find out if I'm the only one in the NW corner of the state. I'm near Thief River Falls and would like to find some fellow Ford enthusiasts to hang out with.

Well, you only had 2 posts so you didn't lose much. I was going to say if your old account was more active and you wanted to get into it, I could contact the webmaster, or one of the administrators for you so you can get your password. But it looks like your back on track. Welcome back.

4rdtruckman,

I grew up on a farm in Viking and lived in TRF for awhile. I moved to Brainerd a few years back to get out of the WIND! The fishing and camping are O.K. here, but people look at me funny when I say the word "SnowCat".

Can you fit a PowerStroke into a BearCat?

Later,

ck

Welcome to the fte, it has been a very good site for me and I think it will for you also. The word sno-cat is very proper for me, being I live pretty close to polaris

northlander, is it ironic or what but I live in Viking now and grew up in TRF. Can you fit a powerstroke into a bearcat?......Depends on what kind of money you have, anything is possible, well sometimes anyway.

yendor thanks for the welcome, I have been checking this site out for a couple years and finally decided to join. There is a lot of good info posted here. polaris hmmmm....... more of a cat man myself but my wife rides a polaris, so what can I say.

Now now. No brand bashing, they are both made in Minnesota. I own one of each. A Polaris 4 wheeler and a Cat sled. I like the Artic Cat sleds a tad better just because of more raw power from the factory they have. I think Both companies build a fine machine and am proud to have them both here employing people in small towns.

If members continue to get closer to me I just may become paranoid & think they are coming to take me away.

I guess I better get in a hurry & finish my truck so I can go play with those closer to me.

Boss 358,
I wasn't trying to brand bash, just trying to stir things up a bit. My wife really does ride a Polaris and I ride a Cat. I agree that they are both finely engineered machines. I meant by no means to start anything, just hacking on yendor a little bit. Without either manufacturer there would be a lot higher unemployment rate in this part of the state. Most of my friends work at Arctic Cat and I have some relatives at Polaris, and now I don't know where I am going with this, so............It's just like the Ford vs. Brand X rivalry except that we all know that FORD is the best. Sleds and 4 wheelers are a different story, there the playing field is too large to really choose one brand because there are so many models to choose from. For example if you always rode a Polaris or Cat sled and really got used to one brand and then switched you may think it is a better machine or a terrible p.o.s. For instance my wife's sled is a rocky mountain king and I ride a ZRT 600 she can stop in deep powder and take off while I get stuck but when we get on to a lake I can leave her sucking exhaust. Both are great sleds but have their own strengths and weaknesses. well enough for now.
