took a drive in cold PA

It was cold here in Central PA this weekend, below 0 at night. On Saturday went out and started the truck around 11:00 am and it popped right off. The high that day was about 18 degrees. Took the truck out for running some errands since it was sunny and dry. It was great since I had not driven it for about 3 weeks. Only problem was the left rear tire was a bit low. It was a great day, heater worked great, so good I had to crack the window a bit!

Coldest i have driven mine is -33 C just before Christmas. The day time high went up to -25 C and then 33 at night again. Square tires, very stiff shifting......heat, well the fan was blowing. No problem for starting each morning provided it was plugged in.

AH you northerners,

I took a drive today at a balmy 60 degrees and had the window down, No heater needed. But I would like to see some of the white stuff (snow, not pharma...pharmacu....pharmasu.....drugs).

Course this summer when the thermometer is set to broil, youse guys will be laughing and driving comfortable.

I can't even imagine what 33 below feels like.

Hi Abe,

I took the '59 out last weekend too (local running around). It was a really cold weekend here in Jersey as well!

Same deal. Kicked right over, and heater was blasting!
Really made running errands fun!

Actually, it's not much of a difference. At -40, both scales are the same.
