Any suggestions ???

Yesterday I bought a 2001 FX4 and am new to this forum. I was thinking about putting either a Flowmaster or Dynomax duel exhaust on there.

My dad thinks it won't sound good being a V6

Has anyone done a mod like this thats knows what it sounds like???

I just put a 40 series flowmaster on my truck turned down, and I love the way it sounds. You aren't going to get the same growl as a V8, but it won't sound bad if you just do it right. I've also heard of the same muffler dual out the back, and it sounded really good.

I have duel Flowmaster 40’s running out behind each rear wheel with 10” X 4” tips and it sounds great. The Flows give a nice deep rumble at idle and great roar when you floor it.

Haven't posted in a while , it's good to be back. I have a 50 series flowmaster, single in , dual out, and it sounds great. It also keeps the costs down, cause you don't have to buy 2 muffler's. I had it turned out in front of the rear tire, but that noise got old on the highway, so I had it changed to twin tailpipes turned out behind the rear tires. Much better, and also , use as big a diameter pipe that you can without rubbing or hitting, it gives a nice growl to it.
