I'm having a bad day...sub/amp install

I installed the sub and amp in my Navigator, but almost no volume. I played around all day trying to make sure everything is right. Nothing. Then to top it off, my dog ran away. I didn't even know he was outside until my wife asked me where he was.

I have an elemental Designs 8" DVC 4ohm sub wired to 2 ohms. A Directed Audio 250d pushing 250 Watts rms at 2 ohms. Knukoncepz 8 ga wire kit. Stinger LOC tapped into the front speakers. I have almost no volume from the sub. I had more volume when I temporarily hooked it to the stock Alpine amp. That's what...50W? The sub is sealed very well in the stock sub box, so it's not that. I'm running 16 ga speaker wires. None of this tells me it should be running this poorly. I played with the gains on the LOC and amp and turned the bass up all the way on the stereo...nothing.

Please help me

Also, my youngest left his scooter behind my 06 Mazda 6. Scratched the bumper down to the plastic. Didn't do a d@mn thing to the scooter. I was hoping it was mangled!

first thing is your amp powering up.....if yes then good....now....are the rca's ran from the right output on the deck to the correct input on the amp....are the rca's any good...is there a setting on you deck that turns the sub on/off...my alpine has a subwoofer control. if none of that works i got a killer system from jl audio that will fit behind ur 3rd row seat if u have one and produces amazing sound. keep us posted

Ok, what I ended up doing was hook the LOC to the old amp output. That seems to work beautifully! I'm guessing that the wires I hooked into, were preamp wires, so they were already low power.

Now, I just need to find a 12V Key on wire. I can't believe I haven't found one yet!!!
