fouling plugs
I have a 89 f150 302, when it get cold out like below 30 it will start up and Immediately floods out. If i don't floor the gas as soon as it fires to clean it out it will foul out like 3or 4 plugs. It is very intermitant and it started doing this last year. I have replaced coolant sensor and the air temp sensors it is not giving me any codes. It seems like it runs way to rich. What could be the problem?

I had a very similar problem on a 302. After several trips to the auto parts store and to the mechanic a old fellow gave me the right answer. The carburator was dumping way too much in the engine causing the fouling. It took a carb rebuild to solve the problem. Wish I had known before the 20 or so sparkplugs.
