Wheel Adapters (standard to metric)

I have a hanker'in to install some late model Ford truck wheels on my '74 F-100 with big T-bird calipers.

Has anyone done this using wheel adapters and how did the new-style wheel's offset work with your old style front end?

I hate to use adapters on a truck, too much weight involved for me.
But no, I haven't seen any.
You might try www.tdperformance.com they used to make all kinds of wheel adapters.

i have heard spidertrax makes some really great wheel spacers and adapters out of solid aluminum. supposed to be a really good design.

I'd probably use something like this:

I know that I can get the wheels physically mounted on the truck (via adapters), I just don't know how much rubbing would occur (if any) and if the wheels would clear the calipers...
