im up to 181,500 on the 89 in my sig, i bought it for 1600 bucks with 175k, replaced balljoints, wheelbearings, fan clutch, radiator, master cyl, cap, rotor, plugs, wires, air filter, belt, water pump and oil pan gasket. Oh yea..new tires....and new 2.5" exhaust with no kitties, gutted smog pump and egr removed
since all that its been about 5 thousand trouble free miles of smooth drivin and decent fuel economy for an auto with no OD
its helping keep the miles of my 06....over 100 a day

You all won't believe it but the 1993 F150 XL my grandpa uses on his turf farm just rolled over 480K on the ticker. Engine has never been opened. Uses about a quart and a half of 10W30 between oil changes (yearly). Was a fleet truck before the farm got ahold of it.
Gramps thinks the trans is original too - his boss never got any paperwork showing a rebuilt or reman unit installed. If so, that's gotta be a record for an E4OD but there's no way it's original and I told him so
The truck has an easy life - slow commutes on back roads to and from farm fields carrying fuel for the tractors.

Original timing gears, original everything. The ONLY non original part on that truck is a mechanical oil gauge I "helped" put on the truck when I was 10! That was 10 years and 80K ago. I don't think you'd want to open the engine up anyway, with all the dirt caked in the engine bay. The truck was very well taken care of by the Prince William County VA municipality, which I guess explains why it's lasted that long. Grandpa and I try to take care of it now, with regular oil changes, plus he drives like a grandpa.
One more cool story: when we were getting my '96 on the road the 'ol red 93 came to the house and we "borrowed" a bunch of electrical stuff (relays, diodes) to get mine running!
