I have a minor problem with my 92 explorer, when ever i have 3 or more (sometimes just 2 passengers counting me) people counting me the driver the windows fog up bad in the rain or snow sometimes on over cast days. I run the defroster and i've even tryed turning the ac on using the panel vents still stay fogged, i hear the compressor cycling on and off plus its only 2 years old. My front windshield is basicly clean except about 3 or 4 inchs on the outer edge, and the side windows in the front compartment just get cleared a little bit like a circle. Its real hard to see i have to lean foward to look out them, and seeing out the back windows imposible, i was wondering if any one else has this problem and what they did to fix it, Should something like fog x work or is there someting else out there, in other vehicals i had the fog x did not work they still fog, Need Help before i crash one of these days cause i cant see
Just clean them real well with Windex or whatever. You're Explorer has enough moisture in it (not to mention vapor from breathing) that it will always fog a little. Anyway, the inside windows should be cleaned periodically because everything releases vapors that stick to the windows. Another product that some people swear by is "Stoner's Invisible Glass." You should be able to find it online by doing a google search. I tried the Rain-x interior glass cleaner with anti-fog before, and it didn't seems to help. However I cleaned my windows again real good today, and used regular windex on some, and anti fog stuff on others, we'll see what happens. I've seen quite a few threads about glass cleaners in the "<a href="http://www.fordtrucks.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?forumid=71">Appearance & Dress-up</a>" forum, try a search over there.
