Shift points
I'm just wondering, I think that with my larger tires my tranny would do better if I could change it's shift points to slightly higher RPM's. It's an E4OD, so what has to be done to do this?

Either a re-programming of your PCM or an add-on chip. With a stock engine, the shift points are pretty much optimized from the factory. Rev it higher and all you're likely to make is noise. To offset the bigger tires, you need bigger gears. That's expensive on a 4X4. "Plan B" is to build the engine up a bit to make more torque.

My speedo's not electronic, I'm not really wanting it to rev higher, just there are times where I'd like it to downshift or not upshift, I don't hove $ for gears so I guess I'll just keep doing creative throttle work.
