need some help

my 78 f-150 has a holley carb on it. the carb has an opening on the front of it for a line to go to it. i dont have anything going to it. the truck runs, but way too rich . could this be the problem. i was thinking about capping it off with something. what do you think

I would think that would be the PCV valve connection.

Is it on the top or bottom. If its on the bottom cap it and readjust the carb. If its on the top it could be a bowl vent.
