This looks like a really good deal from what I can find. Anybody have one? How do you like it? Will they reset it to work with another vehicle like some companies will reporgram a chip at a discount?

It will work with only one vehicle at a time. To use it on another Ford truck/suv, you need to restore the current one to stock. There is no way to pay dealer a discount so you can use it on more than one at a time.

Cool - so you can return truck A to stock, sell it and then use on truck B? Very nice!! A lot more flexibility that a regular chip you would have to send in and pay to get reprogrammed!

Yes.... so long as truck B is a 1996-2002. It does not work with 2003+ EEC-VI computers.

Do you have any idea what the warranty issues would be? I have 24,000 on my truck with another 50,000 or so to go on the extended warranty. I know that I could put it back to stock if something happened, but does the onboard computer save any info that things have been changed?

Thanks

Mike

I am interested but would like to know what kind of gains do you get from the microtuner on a v10?

The computer is COMPLETELY restored to stock by the programmer. It does not void the warranty:

Superchips rates it at 25HP and 45ft/lb. Newer trucks seem to post slightly lower numbers.

The microtuner does not support any custom features except gear ratios, tire sizes, shift points and shift firmness. Any other changes will require a custom chip.

Does it (speedo calibration) work for ALL v10 codes?

I can't substantiate that one way or another. For one thing, not all V10 codes are in it. Most are but if your's isn't it will store your code in itself and tell you to call Superchips. Then you send it to Superchips and they send it back updated for your code.

Thanks for the info. Think I'll hold off until the V10 stuff matures a little more. I really want the chip/tuner to fix my speedo, but I know for sure that SC can't fix it for my ECU code.
