Other than changing the fuel filter out every 12k miles, what is the best way to clean the fuel injectors and fuel rail? Is this even needed?

 

I would imagine that using a fuel injector cleaner additive is a good way. I hear the STP is used a lot up here, but not sure what everyones preferance is.

You can get them cleaned professionally by an auto shop or Ford,or you can add a cleaning product to your tank and run it until you are almost out of gas.There are three products out there that are the best out of all them;
1) BG 44K
2)Techron
3)SeaFoam
Any one of these products will do you justice.

 

That's what I thought. I was just wondering if I could "physically" do something to clean out the injectors. For now I will stick with adding a cleaning product to my gas.

In my opinion the BG products are the best.
