Key wont turn in ignition in 1999

I cant turn the key so i can turn the truck on. Any suggestions?

Try turning it backward first, then forward again. Sometimes the steering column locks very tightly when the wheels are resting against something or the wheel is turned very fimly one direction or the other.

The steering wheel lock can lock very tightly if there is tension on the tires. Try turning the steering wheel and trying to turn the key. That usually does it for my truck.
