No Good Deed

Recently saw a posting on Marketplace for a 1947 Ford water truck. But it's a 1940 or 1941 by the front grill and further identified as a 1941 by the dash and side hood trim. Of course there is no title to confirm anything. I sent the seller a message that it was a 1941 not a 1947 and the only response was 1947. So much for trying to help some one.

I can understand the year confusion, without a title to go by. Many folks have no idea about these trucks. It looks to be very straight and clean for an old work horse. Sure would make a great project, but without a title, would be a parts only thing for me. Too bad, as they are great looking rigs, in my opinion. Hopefully someone gets it for parts or goes through the trouble to get it titled and back on the road.
