Backup camera wiring
Hey all,
I’m looking for some help with the pinout on a 2011 SD tailgate handle camera. On the camera side, it’s a 6 pin connector with the following pinout:
Pin 1 BLK
Pin 2 BLK
Pin 3 BLK
Pin 4 WHT-BLU
Pin 5 WHT-GRY (dashed grey)
Pin 6 BLK
Pins 2 and 6 seem to have smaller gauge wires.
On the truck side my wire harness has the reverse 12v, a ground, and a component wire comprised of 3 three wires- yellow, red, and twisted wire for shielding.
If anyone knows the camera wiring pinout, I’d really appreciate it the help.

These are the wire colors on my 2012 which I would think would be the same. These are on the female side of the connector.
For connector C497 female end:
Pin 1 + Power (backup lights) Violet/gray
2 Video + white/green
3 Video - brown/violet
4 Shield black
5 GND black
6 No connection
For connector C497 female end:
Pin 1 + Power (backup lights) Violet/gray
2 Video + white/green
3 Video - brown/violet
4 Shield black
5 GND black
6 No connection
