That would have been $753 here in the great state of CA!
One of the reasons I do not go west!
Also, just so everyone knows, I do get a discount using my company issued fuel card, gave me a $80 discount, but still hurt a lot.
Makes it really hard to make a decent profit.
And, glad for my most recent tune giving me about 4 more MPG's empty, and about 1.5 MPG's more when towing.

I am looking forward to our trip east for the summer! lol... When pulling our camper we use the TSD card... it can save us quite a lot of money too!
First off I am ok.
I was a little shaken up this as I was robbed at the gas station on my way to lunch. After my hands stopped trembling I managed to call the police. They were quick to respond and calmed me down. I’m safe now, but my money is all gone. The police asked me if I knew who did it. I said yes...It was pump number #3
Ouch! This is probably a dumb question, but I'm gonna ask anyway. I thought the trucking industry had been applying fuel surcharges for a while now, as a way to mitigate risk in quoting. Are you able to do something like that?

Hell my trash guys just put out a $3 fuel surcharge.

Trucking industry is still doing this, anyone who routinely ships product went to this a long time ago and left the note on all their quotes. All trucking quotes I've seen in the last 8+ years have said 'Fuel surcharge may apply' whether there is one listed or not.

No, not for hauling RV trailers, they just have to try to negotiate a new rate to compensate.
They told me Friday that they should know something Monday, of course too late for this trailer I am delivering.

the company i work for charges fuel charges on some accounts and not others, it all depends on the contract and billing structure with each customer. we also have locations with our own pumps and its cheaper then the stations because of the bulk we buy. fleet cards can also help with reducing prices. i use mudflap to get discounts and my last was $.78 off a gallon.
