Driving with a bad Radius Arm Bushing
#17
Cool that this topic came back up as I need to tackle this this weekend. fortunately for me the passenger side has already had the rivet /bolt swap done. Driver side not yet so that side will take a while longer to grind rivets etc.
I just realized that my bushings were the problem a couple weeks ago and I have been driving it for several months with the symptoms before I realized what the problem was. Should I just have new bracket on hand Just in case for this job considering the time it's been blown? Is the bracket a dealer item or is napa etc likely to have that?
Thanks.

OK so I looked through all the other RAB threads I found (3 or 4 of them) and the concensus seems to be the grind and bolt method of replacement but one key piece of info was never mentioned. Time. What kind of time should I budget for this, ball park? Passenger side is bolted already, only driver needs to be ground. I plan to soak all the nuts, especially the large ones in PB blaster twice a day for the next two-three days. Assuming the normal hurdles of breaki9ng bolts free etc. is this a 1/2 day, full day, multi day situation?
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

Mine is completely gone on the mounting bracket side and it's clunking pretty bad. There's not enough threads showing to put the nut when I put the new bushing on. How do you recommend that I pull the arm further in to the mounting bracket to give me enough space for the washer nd nut?
