At 68 I'm having a hard time seeing these roads well on the few occasions I return home in the dark. The original lights are not as fogged as the ones on my 87. I was very disappointed after replacing the 87 light becouse they don't want to adjust right and I don't want to have to bend the mounts.
On the 01 I think I will just mount some that I can put on the bumper and use when needed. I have never bought lights like this before so I'm looking for advise / guidance. 120 watts seem high for this kind of light and they are cheap. Please share your thoughts.
I would clean up the existing lights or upgrade them to new ones with different bulbs instead of adding lights cheap lights that will blind oncoming traffic.
Like RV puller said, I dont think those are street legal. Ive played around with similar ones on my jeeps and YES, they work great for the cost, however you'll bling oncoming traffic. Something listed at DOT or street legal and of course more $$ will be probably what you need. Im in the same boat for my 99. Plenty of deer on the roads, narrow, tree lined and dark as it gets, just hard to see.
Agree with the guys above, those Nilights aren't street legal. I used them on a boat before, they do a GREAT job lighting things up but they're not meant for the road.
You should be able to get a set of 05+ lights that will fit your '99, they're supposed to have better beam focusing. Or you can get a set of LED/projector headlamps for it, that would be an improvement over stock.
EDIT: Sorry, for some reason I thought you said you had a '99. You have an '01, but the '05-07 lights should still fit and have a better beam focusing.

I replaced my 99 lights with 01 lights , a much better light pattern , and also the marker / turn signal .
looks better in my opinion also a side benefit.
I use the Osram bulbs as of now , but have considered going quality Led .
I am also old at 67, and live in the mountains , with plenty of game and other road hazards .
Thanks everybody. I just ordered 80 100 bulbs and a wire harness. I'm glad I asked, I didn't know I needed the harness, I thought the upgrade to LED replacement bulbs was the only way to get more from the OEM housing.
