I was considering a level kit for my 2025 F250 FX4 Lariat to raise the front just a bit. I went to a local place that quoted me $800 for kit, install and alignment. They will use a Rough Country 51017 2" kit. Kit is $160 and 4 hrs labor ($540). My questions are is the kit any good? Are alignments needed regularly or tire wear not even? I imagine the labor might be a bit much but since they don't mark up the kit, they have to make money someplace. I am not a mechanic, someone else will have to do this for me. More worried about how troublesome this change will be for wear and tear. Edit. I do tow a travel trailer with a 10k GVWR.
I did the puck/spacers on my 2015 and 2017 trucks. Both of them developed a death wobble that I had to deal with later on.
I used the ReadyLift coil spring kit on my 2020 and my current 2023. ( Coils, Trackbar relocate, new shocks, caster shims) and I've not had any death wobble.
I don't know that the spacers caused the problem. probably just a coincidence, But it's enough of reason, that I won't go back to doing it the cheep way in the future.
