On my 24 F350, I can go into settings to turn off or on the folding mirror option when locking the pickup.
However, I do not see any settings to choose so when the pickup is turned off the mirrors fold in.
Not sure if a missed this somewhere in the settings, if it is a forscan option, or there isn't an option?
The reason for asking... Not sure what year the Super Duty was but when the driver turned off the ignition the mirrors folded in.
Any thoughts?
Not sure about the 24MY's but on the 22MY's we could change to Lincoln style fold using Forscan. However, it doesn't fold the mirrors in when the engine is shut off. (I actually haven't heard of that option on any the SD's, however, I have kept up less with the newest models.) The way it works is that when locked (whether via the key FOB, the door pad, the FP app, or inside the truck) the mirrors will fold in. The beauty of it is that when unlocked they do not automatically fold out. In order to fold out you must open and close the drivers side door. So, if I needed to get into the passenger side, the back seat, or even open the tailgate the mirrors didn't needlessly open and close when unlocking and then locking the truck.
Regardless, I would imagine that you can only simply turn on or off the folding mirrors from the trucks setting menu. Anything beyond that most likely requires ForScan.
