Confirmed that a oil leak is coming from the dipstick in my 91 ford. Sounds like it’s complicated to fix so wondering if anyone else had run into this. I want to do something that wouldn’t impair a fix in the future. Any tips appreciated.
I'm thinking of a rubber grommet to slide over the tube. Maybe clean it real good w/ brake cleaner and apply some Grey rtv just before sliding grommet over it.grommet would likely need dielectric grease inside to be able to slide. Beats dropping the pan to repair.

Instead of starting a new thread for the same issue…why didn’t you add this to your “oil pan leak help” thread? What is complicated about fixing the leak? What engine?
