X-Treme Toys Superduty in progress!!!
Just got the truck back,,,not quite done. I'm waiting on a re-worked front axle from dyna-trac as well as another set of 7100's and an arb air locker for the front. I basically swaped out all the brackets to ORU X-Treme Toyz brackets. I plan on getting the hydraulic steering assist next and then the air overload system. Don't know if I'll really end up going with the 4" body lift and 44's as soon as I thought. Mike Duval is talking me into a supercharger first, Don't really know,,any opinions on which i should do first.....thanks & hope to see you guys soon.

well... i'd opt for the body lift and larger meats... but then you'll be a bit under geared and will add another expense to the mix.... doing the front locker at the same time as a regear would be nice as it will only be a minimal amount of extra work on the front diff.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 26-Dec-02 AT 11:51 PM (EST)]ah... no brainer then..... body lift and tires will run you around $1600 - $1800 (install could bump that up another five to seven hundred).....
supercharger installed will run you around four grand or more.
honestly i think being that high in the air and having the supercharger are a bad mix (asking for trouble).... but then again it would be cool!!!
one more thing to consider.... 5.38s and 40s will be a lot of gear for those tires ... and you won't have too much success with highway speeds at that low of a gear ratio ... so if you went the supercharger route first, you'd have that problem too.

I'd go for the 44's also.
I have the polished Kenne Bell Supercharger already but it ran $4000 another $800 for install. Had to wait quite a while before adding more lift, tires, wheels, shocks etc. Have the parts now. Some new some used. That project is going to run me another $4000 at least. When thats done I'm going to add a borsh fuel pump and #42 injectors and yet another custom chip. Lets see... Now I'm a little under geared with 4.56's and 39" tires. It seems like it never ends.

ya, i've considered the costs! bodylift w/44's = $3000,,,powerdyne supercharger = $4500.... i know that i'll be doing both, just not sure in which order....5.38 on 40's is what ORU has been installing since the lower gear ratio's came out. correct me if i'm wrong abendx, but i just looked at the charts and 5.38's on 40's should place me at Daily driver/best over all performance. i checked the tire/gear sizing chart on 4wheelparts.com. thanks for the replies!!!

Right, 5.38s with 40s give you close to same effective ratio as 4.30s with 31s. And that way you're ready for the 44s! I say do the supercharger, you're truck is already huge, so why not make it fast and wait a little for the extra height. Anyways, like you said you're doing both no matter what.
