Cruise control updates

Does anyone know how to swap a 2000 steering wheel with cruise to a 2002+ steering wheel with cruise and make it functional to the cruise and radio? Is a clock spring all I need? Is there a tutorial on how to do this somewhere?

the ribbon cables are all that is involved, the Clock spring has nothing to do with it.

you must remove the two hold down bolts on the backside of the steering wheel, 5/16" IIRC, then you lift the ABS pkg away from the Steering wheel, IIRC there is one ribbon cable on the ABS pkg.

I bought an 2005 Eddie Bauer steering wheel, and put it on my 2002 XLT.

they are the same underneath the Labels.

you will need a puller shaped like this, and you must be Super Careful to get the Ribbon cable oriented properly... at first, I got one of them backwards and the Horn honked when I tried to activate the CC to ON.

But the cruise controls are different on my 2000 wheel vs the replacement that is 2002+. How do I get the cruise and radio to function properly or is it plug and play?

my Radio is not connected to the steering wheel...
I don't know about that.

the buttons were different, but the cables are the same for me.

Is that a navigator steering wheel? You will most likely need the clock spring to go with the steering wheel as it will have more connections through the ribbon.
Do a search for navigator steering wheel upgrade and you may get a few threads discussing the swap.
I have swapped the steering wheels in both my 02 ex and 02 F250, I used the clock spring out of the navigator and re-pinned the end to plug into the connector under the dash.
on my Ex I was able to use the climate control and stereo through the navigator wheel. On the F250 the climate controls are dials so I used those buttons for other stereo features.
