Not everything is a success! But I'm trying my best. I plan to paint the inner fenders blue like the truck, and I don't know about the back of the grille yet.
Looks good. I really like your creative solutions. Just for a visual one of the brackets that some trucks used originally looked like this. Many of the various exhaust hanger brackets had a rubber component to them so the vibrations from the pipe and muffler were not transmitted to the frame and vice versa. But it looks like yours will be solid so likely not a problem.
These pointed inward toward the driveshaft and were bolted to the inside channel of the frame in that same spot.
ADELEANDRE, as always, nice work, and I agree with TA455HO, well done on finding a solution. I love the fact that Chad never fails to have a good photo of a relevant part or part number. That said, most of all the exhaust hangers I have seen, unless they were connected to the engine, have had some kind of rubber transition to avoid having the more fragile and thiner walled exhaust pipe crack from the motor flex and or drivetrain vibration. Your work always impresses, but it is a thought to consider.
Wow, that was fast, and seems like a great solution!! I will let you know when I get to doing my truck and maybe ask you to fabricate something for me too.
finally I redid the exhaust line to make it stop before the rear wheel, under the running board so under the bed there will be nothing left, but thanks for the photo it gives an idea of the origin because on the technical manuals of the time it is not clear
Just FYI: The nice hangar that @tbm3fan shows was used on 1965 and newer trucks. The one I show pictures of in my post number 20 was used 1961-1964. They probably decided to save on a chunk of metal.
I had to redo 2 additional supports to put before and after the muffler so that it holds well. They look a bit like the ones you put in the first photo, I'll put a photo for you when the paint is dry
