Anyone have a lead on front wheel well liners? DC has them but they're like $150 each. Wasn't sure if anyone else has been able to use/modify liners for other model years or just make their own.
Where there is a will there is a way, but what’s your time worth? Something that big and with such a complex shape is going to take a lot of time. $300 seems like it’s worth it, at least to me.
They were totally cracked, hanging into the wheel well. They've been in the trash heap quite a while ago when I was tearing it down.
I'll possibly play around w/ some sheets of ABS. Maybe make a cardboard template first. $20 for a 2x4' sheet.
If a show ride only, I'd likely go for new .... but a driver, I'd repair if I could. They serve two purposes. Keep debris, rain, water, mud off the truck hard parts, frame, etc and they keep wind, etc off the front of the doors. Many have been thrown away, and was a time they weren't even put on the trucks. Consider rubber too. I even used some aluminum to shield my floors from road splashed mud, gravel, etc.
Just go without them. the ones on my '79 are in great shape but I'll probably ditch them when I repaint it. they were an unneeded afterthought.
Totally disagree....they would keep mud, dirt and whatever comes off the tires from collecting up in the wheel well. I'm probably going to add them on my 76. After almost 40 yrs...its pretty nasty and I'd like to protect it . I think they are great and much needed addition even if was an after thought. Should have been done way sooner.
NPD lists them at 166 per side. Now shipping… yeah, that could possibly be a bigger expense. I forget that one of the few benefits of living in Michigan is that their warehouse is five miles down the road from me.

We ran these rigs on the ranch until they started putting liners in later in production and never had a problem. no high boy ever had them and somehow we survived.
I long ago bought rear ones from J C Whittney, they are made the same way, just to fit the rear. They were $70 for the pair and that was in the 1990s, everything is up.
After I got my truck back from the painter in 2022, with the new fenders, etc. but before I got my OEM front inner fender tubs back in place, Wife and I took it to town and the wind whistles were loud. I chased seals and found that the noise was up along the front edge of the door and so I thought was vent glass seals. I had all new seals, door seals, glass runs, vent seals, and all was right, but still she whistled at 45-50 or faster. The truck had never whistled like that in all the years and road trips since 1986. Seriously, that whistle was almost killing my enjoyment of driving it. It's been from Alabama, S,C., Ga., Vermont, N.Y., Delaware, Ohio, Tenn., Ky., W.Va., and since I live in Va. so all over Va. Then one day I put the front wheel tub liners back in place, drilled the screw holes, etc. It never whistled again after I put those tubs back in that day.To me, the most important benefit they provide is keeping air pressure off the front of the door there behind that tunnel between the front tire and the door, behind the fender. I'd resist $300 for new ones, but knowing the difference, in time I'd do it if ...
... if I tried the flat heavy rubber like ones used on the earlier Dents andif they didn't work. Those fasten to the cab and the fender back behind the wheel too, and likely break up that direct tunnel to the door too. $30 or less .... worth a try. If they work, get the other pieces like fender to apron near hinges, etc.
