*** and to wrap up my previous thread and crisis, I found a used oil cooler, came in the mail fast and was in great shape. Cleaned up, removed valves and cleaned all oil pathways, taped and painted and installed new o rings and gaskets. Success.
I’m surprised how quickly it settled down and idled well.
The original starter! Not sure where it came from or if it’s OEM or not to be honest. But it’s the one that was installed when I bought the bus, had it rebuilt by a company in Phoenix called turbo and electric.
and this wasn’t the very first start , it burbled over and ran really lumpy before I took this video, took a couple minutes to clear up though
