coe engine rebuild kits
1952 COE would be narrowed down to an F5 or F6 model truck with one of the following factory engines:
6 Cylinder 226cui H series
8 Cylinder 223cui R series
6 Cylinder 254cui M series
8 cylinder components will generally be abundant. Anything specific to the 6 cylinders will be more difficult to find.
For your 1938 Ford, the only factory setup was the 85 HP (Catalogued as 90) 221cui 24 Stud V8. I think 38 had some unique qualities to it and so that may present some challenges for the parts that don't interchange though 42.
As for all the Ford advice above, it refers to what the books say. In reality, engines were regularly swapped, and things get interesting with Mercury and Canadian differences if applicable.
Usually for the engine rebuild components, it is recommended to let the experienced machine shop source the components so that the sizing matches the machining that needs to be done to clean things up. If you need a recommendation on a machine shop, post your general location, members here can narrow in on localish recommendations.
