So do you think that melling 24108 would work well for my application? It just lists the cam only so I guess my next question is what lifters would you recommend to go along with it, brand wise?

The outcome of the test sort of surprised me too but maybe the quality at least when it comes to hardness is good. As long as the spring loads are appropriate for the cam( probably around 75-80lbs seat and 220-240 open the Sealed Power current production lifters will probably be fine with a proper break in.
