Not all trucks had them from the factory. I believe they were only offered with the deluxe or custom cab options at this time. They are out there:

Thanks bmoran4. I agree with Ingo, the eBay price is silly. Checking Midwest Early Ford the price is $0.00: maybe out of stock? I'll call them. These were available at several sites just a few years ago, including MidFifties. The times, they are a changing! Thanks again bmoran4.

Jus trying to share options. I'm sure part of the price on that one listing is due to being OEM in an original Ford box in conjunction with the scarcity of current stock/availability from the usual suspects. Hopefully Midwest Early Ford can come through for you. Another alternative is to scour eBay and similar listings for the a door that has a lock and then get a locksmith to help you with the key.

im sure others don't agree with me but it's the replacement cost that I'd spend to find another one is how I price unobtainium items

Here is a lock and dispatch door that are cheaper. Still pricy, but like Kevin said, unobtainium.

I know with 51/52 dispatch locks the NOS ones go for about $150-$250. There’s still some people out there selling that don’t want to gouge their customers.
Similarly it’s cheaper to find a whole used door with the lock. The 51/52 locks are a little fragile. These later ones look like an improvement.

I have the original lock from mine that I did not use. I probably have the key for it too. As a matter of fact, I think I have all of the original ***** from the dash since I replaced them with billet aluminum *****.
