Trying to chase down a PS pump leak at the valve (which goes into the pump) which the high pressure hose goes into. I removed the high pressure hose and yes I will be changing out the white plastic o-ring the hose has ....but my issue is locating the beveled seat gasket on the valve that seems not sealing properly. Does anyone know where I can find that beveled seat gasket or what kit I can buy that brings it?
Got a pic? If it's what I think you're talking about that white BS seal is all there is. Now another possibility is the line itself is leaking and running along the hose to the fitting. The hoses rub on the inner fender, the steering shaft, even the frame and eventually spring a leak.
Are you talking about the spool valve fitting that threads into the pump then the hose threads into it? Pretty sure that just a standard o ring, if not though you should be able to go to a parts house and ask them for a rebuild kit for your pump. last time I bought one, maybe 4 years ago, they were maybe $10. It should have the seal included. Actually there isn't much else in the kit.
Yes sir....but it does have a bevel on it. Check out the reservoir by itself and you can see the beveling there too. Last resort, I can try an o-ring to see if it works.
That might be something you'd have a hell of a time finding. A standard O-ring might work if you lube it up real good. I never actually removed that off the old one because the front seal was leaking so in went a new pump (and high pressure line that runs off of it.)
So I went out to Advance Auto Parts and got the PS Pump rebuild kit which cost me about 6.00 dollars. The kit did not contain the original beveled o ring but the kit did have o rings that I used. So far after the install...no leaks.
just get a new line, they're cheap enough...no? I just finally replaced my original line about a month ago because it started leaking at that fitting. That plastic washer/ seal is a joke

Which is why all mine were replaced with JIC fittings and hoses.
The Motorcraft ones aren’t super cheap. I think around $80-90 on Rock. That fitting with the o-ring is part of the pump though IIRC. Just replacing the line doesn’t address it. Mine wasn’t loose at all but that high pressure line is known to blow off the pump in some cases so it’s worth replacing every time the pump is. Plus that little white Teflon washer isn’t reusable and I don’t know where you get another one.
