Yea,
My '79 on the 1/8 mile drag strip..........
I beat my brother-in-law everytime down the track. He was in his Jimmy (mid 80s)
Funny hearing over the P/A "Ya'll boys in 'em 4x4s need to wash the clay out from under 'em, your getting mounds all down the track - must've went thru the corn field before getting here tonight.........."
It was a blast!!!!!
He also has a f/s 4x4 dodge sport, he he - just last week while camping/hunting - his would not not go thru a small bogg in 4x2 - had to put it in 4x4 to get to the other side..........I made it in 4x2.......
He wants to match me with my '96 on the strip now (he kept buging the **** out of me to do it with the '79)
I look for every oportunity, in traffic, to show dodges, chevys and other fords just what an v8 4x4 can do.......
Last March when the metro area (Denver) got hit with 49 inches of snow, I was the only one in my neigborhood to get out for the first 3 days of the storm. Then I was out playing and pulling ppl out of the snow, when I ran across an old Dodge pickup strapped to a Pontiac minivan. He was stuck and spun so bad he dug in and couldnt move either direction. The minivan was stuck as well and couldnt move so they couldnt even unstrap. For the fun, I hooked up to the pickup with my strap, and up the road we went. As I was pulling both vehicles up the road, another bronco about the same year as mine came out from a side street, going the opposite direction, pulling one of those big UPS trucks. I tell you there is no better feeling than seeing two broncos whooping *** through the snow pulling what noone else could. BRONCOS DONT DIE, THEY JUST GET MEANER!
Man, what beautiful county you live in - was there last week in Feb, I want to go back.
Oh yea,
Last deer season a 4x4 chevy was stuck in the middle of the road heading to camp trying to pull a log for fire wood. My '79 pulled him out, and pulled the log(tree) back to camp, now that was FUN!!!! to pull back up to the camp fire and everyone commenting 'bout the ole bronco.......... and how it sounded.
