My books show the M47 and M68 have the same front spindles, but the hubs are different all around. Lug count different too and so that probably messes with the rotors.
On a side note, be aware of the true actual Widowmaker Rims that the F3 are known to have. There is no way to safely use and service them.
Hello .I am a new owner of a m68 or from what i understand a f3 truck year 1950. ? is will the f1 disk brake kits work on my truck . Thank you.
Welcome to the forum. You are correct the M68 is the Canadian Mercury version of the F3 Ford sold in the states. Absolutely any F1 front disc brake kit will bolt right onto your F3 spindles, they are the same as F1. It will require you to change to 5 lug wheels, and there are options available for 5 on 4.5 Ford car, 5 on 4.75 GM style, or 5 on 5.5 Ford truck. It just depends on what you want. Changing out the rear end to a Ford 9" or 8.8 rear will give you a matching 5 lug pattern at the back. It's also a good way to have modern brakes all the way around, and better wheel choices. Your stock rear with the 14" Lockheed rear brakes won't accept 16" wheels, you're stuck with the widowmakers unless you do something custom.
