I found out today that you could check codes by the check engine light flashes and it came up with this 122. It’s a 94 f150 5.8.
I’ve had the check engine light on since July. had it checked three times at O’Reilly, but they never could find any codes. Finally Sunday it left me stranded on I 94 and the accelerator stopped working. It will not engage any gear including reverse. Would this sensor cause the tranny to go out? Or is this just symptoms of the bad sensor and housing?

Code 122 is for the Throttle Position Sensor. Here's a thread on how to test it https://www.fullsizebronco.com/threa...stment.203080/
I suspect your transmission issue is being caused by the TPS issue, but I'm not one hundred percent sure. I don't know automatic transmissions. I would start with the throttle position sensor testing, and go from there.
Also check the throttle cable visually, where it connects to the throttle body and make sure it's moving the throttle plates properly and the E clip is in place, where the green dot is.
