How many miles do you guys have on your trucks ?

I cannot help but wonder where the automobile industry went with the overabundance of features, and gadgets, all intended to replace self reliance. Most of which, being undependable electronic features, which rapidly become bugs...
My 1968 Ford F250 4x4 has just over 710,000 miles on it, and after a $9,000 restoration, with about 1000 of my man hours, I suspect that it will outlive me by scores of years, while a majority of the newer trucks & cars have long past through the masher. Granted, my old truck is a bit barbaric, lacking all "Fluffy" features other than power steering, and A/C.. Good luck with the Fluffy trucks...

I agree with you to a large extent. I've always had problems with dumb electronic things as my vehicles age. That is why this time I've got an XL :-). I did add cruise control, though. Driving cross country without it suuucks.
I do have a 65 Chevy C30 Dually (I know, don't shoot me) with 4 speed manual, inline 6, and manual steering, manual drum brakes, and no AC . That will outlive us all!

I knew when typing my post, that I would get some replies, and thanks for yours Divid. While what I call "fluffy" trucks, are common, they are most useful in today's traffic congested highways, and stop n go city driving. All the 'improvements' most certainly help with coping with that, and cruise control is always a welcome convenience when driving long distance. I did however drive "Brutus" 1900 miles from NorCal to the tip of Baja, where he now lives in semi retirement. Never mind the Bow Tie trucks, I've had several, including a 1957 Apache, when I lived on Catalina Island in Olden Times. All old trucks are just fine by me. Old Brutus still rescues boats & trucks & cars during hurricanes, and the floods afterwards. But he much prefers going to the beach, with a couple of kayaks in the back, for a picnic...

Work truck is a 2002 f-250 with the 7.3. Has 323,000 miles. Replaced the original trans at 300K. Tows a 10K pound trailer everyday. Lots of alternators, batteries, water pumps and fluids. Recent front end rebuild, power steering pump and gear. All maintenance done by me. Has an aftermarket intake, down pipe, exhaust and a cs tuner run on the extreme setting always. Never had a problem.

2016 2.7 EB XLT leftover. Had it one year and have 11,000 miles. Unfortunately, I have a clicking sound coming from what sounds like my front diff. Dealership detected bad driver side IWE, but should is still there. Another member on the forum had the same problem on his low mile F150. They replaced pinion and crown gear. Bummer, but hopeful for a quick fix.

Bone stock 2006 F250 4x4 6.0 diesel. 137K miles. Only issues were a leaky $4 o-ring on the fuel pressure regulator cover at 75K miles and a new water in fuel sensor at 100K...each took 5 minutes to change. I just installed a TrueTrac and changed the bearings while I was in there. I take care of it. Love the truck.
