My alternator burned out. It was squeeling, had black dust in it, and smelled burt. I put a new alternator on it. Tried to jump it a few times. It would start at that point but kept dying. I took the battery to the part store to charge and check it. It was at 2% but when they charged it to 12v it tested fine. I put it back in the truck and while running the battery consistently drained down to dead. I went ahead and got a new battery. Same thing. I checked all fuses and the relay, I checked all wiring as good as I could, the belt is nice and tight. No idea why the battery is still draining.
Thanks for any help!

Where'd you get the alternator from ? Have them test it for output or if you have a multmeter you should have 13.5 -14.0 volts across the battery with the engine idling. If you don't have factory navigation in your Expy you should have a 110 amp battery installed. If you do have factory navigation you would need the 135 amp alternator. If you put the wrong amperage alternator in your Expy the PCM will not like it and will not allow it to charge the battery. I'm assuming all the alternator harness connections weren't burned right ?

.
I got it from Advanced Auto Parts. I do not have navigation. The altirnator is 110amp. I have a multimeter. The volts slowly but consistently drop as its running until the dash shuts off and it won't shift gears anymore. Then it won't start anymore either of course.
I took the truck back up to Advanced Auto Parts and texted the alternator while it was still on the truck and it failed. They exchanged it but the second new alternator they gave me has the same reading. I was out of daylight by then. Do you think this is another bad alternator? Or could something else be causing this loss of power?
I might've missed it in your post, but did you say the fuseable link wire was good between the alternator and battery ?
I've never had good luck with alternators or starters from Advance. I trust NAPA or factory Motorcraft for those big parts.
I know it's a rabbit hole, but you should have them test that one in the truck and if it fails get a refund and try a NAPA alternator.
