I live in southren Wake Co. I was hoping some of you may have a suggestion to help my mileage... I only get around 9 miles to a gal.
Some have suggested I change the trans to a AOD... has anyone ever done this kind of job before OR do you know of another suggestion I could try?

First off, is your truck 2 or 4 wheel drive. What size tires are you using,and what gear ratio in rear 2 wheel drive, or ratio`s for 4x4. I need more info on truck.

 

Dual tanks? If so make certain the return lines are correct, I bought mine and got 9 to 10 miles per gallon and the rear tank was inoperatable and already in bad shape so I just did not use it. Then I noticed the rear tank kept smelling bad and I was not using it, I checked it out and the front return line was constantly filling the rear tank. Man what a difference in gas cosumption, now all I have to do is clean the rear tank out. Might check if you have dual tanks and you recently bought your truck, no telling what pervoius owners might have messed up - like on mine. Hope you find it.
