Yeah there's basically none in there. You'd either need to get a couple 16oz bottles of Motorcraft VC-8 and starting adding some or just flush it out and switch to red ELC and don't worry about it again. If I could do the latter on mine I'da done it a long time ago, but I've got a 99 that still calls for the green stuff, so that's my vote but that's more hassle and expense I realize. I'd be tempted to get a new bottle too if the old one is yellow and nasty and it'll look purdy when you're done.

I’m the dinosaur and still use old school green E.G. Zerex pre charged HD diesel. I buy it from Zoro tools.
I also use it in my John Deere with its Yanmar Diesel.

One day I may switch, but as long as it’s readily available I continue to run it.

I am absolutely not saying I’m right, quite the opposite. I’m a glutton for punishment

I'm concerned about having the cavitation problem. I've worked on one that did it, not mine, and it's not something I want to happen to mine.
Between the cost of test strips and coolant additive I'm definitely leaning towards a flush and fill with distilled water and HD ELC as a one and done solution.

Look up the “Gooch” flush procedure and there isn’t much to it, and now is the time of year to do it. Get the engine warmed up before trying to unscrew the block plugs and they should come out no problem. Good first “mod”.

I just spent a lot of time reading a post in the stickys that is a repost of the Gooch coolant thread. I'll never get that time back! I'd say a new sticky with up to date info and no responses would be a good thing.
I called Fleetguard for some info on the test strip readings I got, better off asking the counter workers at McDonalds. Transferred 3 times after getting hung up on the first time. Tech guy told me my 7.3 wasn't a Cummins engine, pretty smart guy. Then he told me to match the strip to the colors on the chart, who knew?

Colored charts fo nothing for me, I need numbers; I am colorblind.

Spray the block plugs daily with PB for a few days before you remove them. Helps out immensely!
