2009 headlight question
For instance, my dad has an '08 F450, his headlights are GREAT and they are 100% stock, high and low beams function as they should and he's got great visibility at night.
My FIL had for a few years an almost identical truck ('08 F450) with headlight issues. The high beams were focused on the road approximately 12 feet in front of the truck, while the low beams were focused out where they should have been. If we brought the high beams up to where the lows should have been focused, the low beams were focused where the highs should have been. No amount of adjustment would bring these back to how they should have been, and even putting in new bulbs didn't seem to affect it. The only thing we can figure is that, at some point, wiring was messed with and the high/low beam circuits were switched, despite the wiring appearing to be correct and intact. He didn't drive much at night anyway (poor night vision), so we never messed with it that much.
Not saying that's your issue but it seems to be something that comes up with those style of headlamps.
