Sticky Throttle?!?
Hello I have recently replaced my IAC valve as my old one literally did nothing. And while this fixed my idle problems it also created one. My problem is anytime I press the gas and let off it’s almost like the throttle is sticking but only slightly (about 1000 rpm) the only way to remedy this is to “blip” the throttle real hard so it smacks back hard. When I disconnect the IAC this problem goes away. Any solutions/ suggestions?

What were the symptoms before you replaced the IAC? Now the throttle hangs around 1000 rpm? Have you tried disconnecting the throttle cable and manually goosing the throttle to isolate if it is a cable or throttle body problem?

Symptoms were that you had to use the screw on the throttle plate to control the idle, the engine would also frequently stall when you first started it. It idles fine now but when you start driving the truck and use the throttle it seems like it is sticking. I have not done that yet as it it poring outside.
