Alarm randomly going off
I have a 2013 F550 work truck which is set up as a 16' flatbed. Recently, the alarm has been randomly going off. I have read these threads about bugs flying around inside the cab and motion sensors within the truck. This is a work truck that we've owned since 2013. I have never had these issues before and doubt that there are motion sensors inside of the cab. And I've seen comments about loud noises and vibrations setting off the alarm. That has never happened before either. I watched one video on youtube and thought that it was the hood latch. After buying a new hood latch, I then realized that the video I watched was for a 2011 F250. That truck had an electrical connection on the latch. Mine does not. Someone else had also mentioned that it could be the battery in the key fob. I changed that too and the alarm is still randomly going off. I'm going to check for those motion sensors on the rear view mirror and if they are there, I can just put some tape over them??
Does anyone have any other ideas? I got so annoyed that I took the 20Amp fuse out for the horn. That should not be a permanent fix!
Thanks
Scott
