Got the new gaskets for my vent windows from D Carpenter. I was wondering what type of tool is needed to install the rivets that
hold the gasket to the window frame. I am only familiar with pop rivets and these rivets are different. Here's a pic.
There is a good video on Youtube by Autorestomod about how he did his vent windows on his 1972 F100, It is called Vent Window How To. He shows how he installed the rivets and the tools he used.
That is a tubular rivet. They are used in a lot of upholstery and leather applications also for attaching aircraft brake pads. You need a set like this to mushroom the head. Tubular Rivet Peening Setting Tool | eBay
